Pinky Luwang, a Woman from Manipur, Horrified to Discover Her Wedding Photo in Hate Posts, Files Complaint

The woman from Manipur was shocked to find her wedding photo being used in a hate post online, which she described as a case of online harassment and intimidation.

The post alleged that decorative items in her wedding were “stolen” from a store and used in a “Meitei wedding”, adding to tensions between hill-majority Kuki tribes and valley-majority Meiteis in the state.

Pinky Luwang, the woman in the wedding photo, expressed her shock and violation of privacy, and has taken the matter to the cyber crime police for investigation.

She has also called out the accounts involved and sought their removal and an apology, threatening legal action if necessary.

The cyber cell police officer has confirmed receiving the complaint and will investigate the matter.
