Two Indian-origin lodge homeowners within the US state of Tennessee have been arrested for allegedly mendacity to the police in regards to the whereabouts of two fugitives who had been hiding inside their constructing, in line with media reviews.
Dakshaben Patel and Harshil Patel, who personal the Tremendous 8 and Mountain Inn in Monteagle, had been arrested on Tuesday, Fox Information reported.
They allegedly lied to police in regards to the whereabouts of needed people throughout an investigation on July 18, the Monteagle Police Division stated.
Two officers had been conducting surveillance on the rear of the lodge resulting from “excessive drug transition” within the space and noticed two people on a balcony, police stated. The officers recognized the people as having felony warrants out of Franklin County.
Investigators later discovered that the lodge had a “hide-out room on the nook of the constructing” and decided that was the place the fugitives had been residing, police stated.
“Each topics had been suggested a number of instances in regards to the needed suspects and had lied to officers about their residence on the lodge,” the division stated.
Dakshaben and Harshil had been every charged with making false reviews to law enforcement officials, which is a felony.
