Authorities seized over 3,000 kg of ‘adulterated’ ghee throughout a raid at a facility in Gujarat’s Navsari on Sunday. In addition they confiscated palm oil, which is believed to have been combined with the ghee to chop prices.
The raid by a workforce of the Meals and Drug Management Administration (FDCA), which resulted within the seizure of products price round Rs 14 lakh, was initiated after receiving actionable intelligence in regards to the malpractices on the facility of Shiv Meals Merchandise in Onchi village of Navsari district.
The model concerned, Sukhwant, is now below scrutiny for promoting adulterated merchandise.
In the course of the operation, authorities took eight samples of the adulterated ghee for laboratory testing to verify the presence of palm oil. They discovered 10 containers of palm oil on the premises.
